ID QR code for kids and autism
Updated 31 October 2026 · Fábio José dos Santos
Kids get lost in a moment: at the beach, at a concert, at the mall. With a Pandu QR on the backpack, a bracelet or clothing, whoever finds your child scans it with their phone camera, calls you and sends you their location on WhatsApp. For children and adults with autism, the card also shows how to approach, in the family's own words.
How to make your child's QR
- On the home page, tap "Create my free QR now" and enter your child's name and date of birth. If you already have your own QR, use "Add a family member or pet".
- Tick what matters, like allergies, asthma or "Autism".
- Add your phone number and one more family member's.
- In "More options → Notes", say how to approach. For example: "Does not speak, but understands. Dislikes loud noise."
- Tap "Print card and stickers" and use the small tags, which do not show the name, on the backpack, bracelet or clothes.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a free ID QR code for kids?
Yes. With Pandu SOS you create, for free and without sign-up, your child's QR with their care needs and your contact. It is ready in 1 minute in your phone browser, and you print it at home or at a print shop.
What happens when someone scans my child's QR?
A card opens with the name, age, care needs and the family contact, with buttons to call and send a WhatsApp. If the date of birth shows under 12, or "Autism" is ticked, there is also a button that sends the location to the family.
How does the QR help someone with autism?
Whoever finds them sees right away how to approach, in the family's own words: whether they speak, what they dislike and what calms them. And they can tell the family and send the location with one tap.
Does Pandu replace an autism ID card or a sunflower lanyard?
No. Pandu is not an official document. It adds to them: it shows the care needs and the family contact to whoever is nearby, and works alongside a sunflower lanyard or the ID card used in your country.
Does the child's name appear on the sticker?
The large stickers show the name. For the backpack, bracelet and clothes, use the small tags on the same sheet: they show only the QR and the SOS · Pandu mark, without the name. The name only appears to whoever scans.
Does it also work for adults with autism and for seniors?
Yes. It is the same QR, for any age. For seniors with Alzheimer's or dementia, tick that option: the card also shows the button to send the location.
Who can see my child's details?
Only whoever scans the QR. The card leaves your phone encrypted and the key stays inside the QR, so not even Pandu can read it. No sign-up, no cookies and no selling of data.
Pandu SOS is not a medical service or an official document. If a child goes missing, contact the police right away.
